This position involves supervising a team of technicians responsible for diagnosing and repairing various systems including industrial chillers, dryers, and heat exchangers<br><br><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES</b><br><br>&bull; Interpret internal and external customer requirements to meet desired outputs.<br><br>&bull; Review and approve evaluation reports and repair quotes for internal and external customers.<br><br>&bull; Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to understand their needs and address any concerns or questions to ensure satisfaction.<br><br>&bull; Effectively manage time and resources to maintain continuous departmental operations.<br><br>&bull; Monitor and manage inventory levels of repair parts and supplies.<br><br>&bull; Define, create, and implement Thermo group procedures that comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols while staying informed of regulatory changes and updating procedures accordingly.<br><br>&bull; Ensure Thermo group operations comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.<br><br>&bull; Manage accurate records of repair activities, refrigerant usage, work orders, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance history.<br><br>&bull; Operate PIT (Power Industrial Truck) Complete training and certification within the first 6 months on the job.<br><br>&bull; Audit, maintain, and coordinate training for all Thermo group personnel.<br><br>&bull; Review, Create, and input data utilizing corporate management system software that include drawings, bills of material, operations manuals, maintenance manuals, and product specification.<br><br>&bull; Perform independent research on a variety of topics, provide summarized data and present observations.<br><br>&bull; Complete assigned tasks while implementing departmental processes.<br><br>&bull; Lead and/or participate on teams to accomplish tasks, processes, and corporate directives.<br><br>&bull; Travel mainly for the purpose of training or customer support. (minimal)<br><br>&bull; All other duties as assigned.<br><br>&bull; Record daily activities.<br><br><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</b><br><br>&bull; Capacity to work indoors in an office, laboratory, and/or manufacturing environment.<br><br>&bull; Ability to work in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.<br><br>&bull; Capability to lift objects or equipment weighing up to 51 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.<br><br>&bull; Physical aptitude to use basic hand tools in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.<br><br>&bull; Ability to travel and/or attend meetings domestic and internationally outside of normal business hours.<br><br><b>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</b><br><br>&bull; Associate degree in a technical discipline, or the equivalent in appropriate education and experience as determined by management utilizing internal SMC career development criteria.<br><br>&bull; Novice understanding to apply project management principles, methodologies, and documentation.<br><br>&bull; Ability to operate PIT (Power Industrial Truck) Complete training and certification within the first 6 months on the job.<br><br>&bull; Competent at mentoring and motivating others to develop their professional skills and achieve their goals.<br><br>&bull; Competent in navigating corporate system software to meet the desired output for internal and external customers.<br><br>&bull; Competent understanding of common assembly processes.<br><br>&bull; Novice understanding of common material conversion processes in manufacturing.<br><br>&bull; Competent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.<br><br>&bull; Novice understanding of EPA section 608 certification.<br><br>&bull; Novice in conducting research using corporate resources.<br><br>&bull; Novice in brazing using general guidelines.<br><br>&bull; Novice understanding of NFPA70E Electrical safety.<br><br>&bull; Fluent at efficient use of time to effectively plan and execute multiple duties.<br><br>&bull; Competent understanding to utilize basic inspection equipment in a laboratory environment.
